Arise and Shine

Own Your Story is an annual gathering designed to encourage, equip and empower women to embrace their God-given identity, purpose and calling through meaningful conversations that support personal, spiritual and professional growth.

Over the past two years, we have also been encouraged to see that the practical insights and biblical truths shared throughout the conference have resonated with the men who have joined us. While our heart remains to encourage and empower women, we warmly welcome all who desire to grow in faith, leadership and purposeful living. As God continues to lead and shape this assignment, we remain committed to creating a meaningful experience for everyone who joins us.

Life has a way of placing weight on our shoulders—but it was never meant to silence the purpose within us.

This year’s theme, Arise and Shine, is an invitation to rise above the weight you’ve been carrying and step confidently into the fullness of who God has created you to be.

Join us for a day of inspiring speakers, authentic conversations, worship and practical wisdom that will encourage your heart, strengthen your faith and equip you for the journey ahead.

Wherever you find yourself on your journey, there’s room for you at Own Your Story.

What Clients are Saying

“Coaching helped me focus”

Coaching has helped me focus on what was most important to me which was making sure I pass my honours degree and graduate. My Coach, Palesa helped me bring my whole self with every session that we had. She has helped me empower myself, ask myself questions, and answer those questions within me. Now I know what success looks like. It is about setting goals and implimenting them. I can now see myself more clearly.

“Working with Palesa Mokgatla was a life changing experience for us and the team”

She is extremely personable and has the ability to connect with her clients quickly. Through her intervention and framework she provided, we understood the stages organisations go through and where we might have been - this was a game changer as we learned how to embrace the state. It is her heart, patience, and commitment to helping others for us. If you are in the dungeons like we used to be, she is the right person to take you out of that prison.

“Thank you Palesa, I am a better version of me”

Life coaching came at a time my life seemed to be at a slope. The force the coaching mandate came at, brought direction, meaning, and hope. The sessions shaped my mind in a very constructive way. The main goal we were driving was getting me back in the workplace as I was recently retrenched. We pushed at how we should get back in the market, and how I should present myself in interviews. In no time, interviews were coming from every end, and I managed to catch a fish. What a blissful reward for us.
